The Description
The Military Museum is the official museum of the Egyptian Army and is located in the historic Haram Palace, built by Muhammad Ali Pasha. It showcases the history of the Egyptian military from ancient times through the Islamic era to the modern age. The Egyptian National Military Museum is one of the largest military museums in the world, and particularly in the Middle East. It is also one of the most important attractions within the Citadel of Saladin in Cairo.
The Establishment
The Military Museum was established in 1937 in the old Ministry of Defense building on Falaki Street. In 1938, it moved to its temporary location in the Garden City district, a year after its founding, before finally settling in its current unique location within the Haram Palaces of the Citadel of Saladin in 1949.

The Development Stages
In 1988,
the Military Museum was developed in cooperation with the Antiquities Authority.
On April 26, 1988
it was inaugurated.
In 1990,
it was developed in cooperation with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

it was developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Antiquities.
